ClaimIQ
KNOW BEFORE YOU BELIEVE

Privacy Policy

1. The short version

We collect what we need to check claims and run your account — and as little else as possible. Listening happens only in sessions you start. Audio for voice claims is processed to text and the audio is not kept. Family Shield shares scam alerts only. Deleting your account really deletes your data.

2. What we collect

3. How processing works

We ask before we send anything. The first time you open ClaimIQ we show you, in the app, exactly what is sent and who receives it, and nothing is sent until you agree. You can change your answer at any time in Settings → Privacy & your data. If you decline, ClaimIQ stops sending content for analysis — you keep your account, your saved results, your exports and your Family Shield alerts.

Checks are processed with the help of service providers acting on our instructions. As of the date above these are: hosting and infrastructure (Render); database, sign-in and file storage (Supabase); AI analysis of what you submit (Google, Anthropic, OpenAI); turning speech into text and reading results aloud (OpenAI); checking whether a voice or an image was generated by AI (Modulate, Reality Defender); searching for evidence (Exa, Tavily, Serper); fetching media you share from a public link (Apify, Webshare); crash and error diagnostics (Sentry); subscription status (RevenueCat); push notifications (Expo); and account emails (Resend). We also read free public databases such as the FDA, the SEC, PubMed, CourtListener and Wikidata, and public blockchain data sources for crypto checks.

What we send, and to whom. It depends on what you check. The text of your claim goes to the AI providers (Google, Anthropic, OpenAI) and search wording built from it goes to the search providers (Exa, Tavily, Serper) — the search providers never receive your files. Where you supply one, the image, video, document or audio you asked us to examine goes to the AI providers; audio you record or upload also goes to OpenAI to be turned into text. If you use the AI-voice or AI-image detectors, that clip or image also goes to Modulate or Reality Defender. If you share a link, we (and Apify or Webshare) fetch the page or media behind it. Crypto checks send the coin, token, contract or wallet address you entered to public blockchain-safety services. Live listening sessions are transcribed on your device — that audio is never sent to us or anyone else; only the resulting text is checked. The separate "check a caller's voice" tool is different: it records a short clip and sends it for analysis, and it tells you so before it records.

What we never send. Your email address, your password, your payment details and your Family Shield contacts are never sent to any of these providers. They receive what you are checking, not who you are.

All the ways we use it. To run the check you asked for and show you the result; to save it to your History so you can reopen, export or share it; to keep the de-identified claim cache described below; to count your usage against your plan; to diagnose crashes and errors; and to review our own accuracy — we sample completed checks and re-examine them to find and fix mistakes in the engine. We do not use your content to advertise to you, and we never sell it.

Equal protection by our providers. Every provider named above is bound, by contract, to protect your information to the same standard we promise you in this policy: to use it only to perform the service we asked them for, to keep it confidential and secure, not to sell or otherwise share it, not to use it to advertise to you, and not to use it to train their own AI models. Uploaded media is deleted from our storage once the check finishes, and a voice-check clip is deleted as soon as you get your answer.

Our providers are located primarily in the United States, so your data is processed and stored there. If you use ClaimIQ from another country, you consent to that processing.

4. De-identified claim memory

To answer repeated claims quickly and affordably, we keep a cache of claim texts and verdicts with no link to any person. Deleting your account does not delete these de-identified entries — they are about claims, never about people.

5. Sharing

We don't sell your data. We share it only with the processors above, with people you explicitly choose (a shared result link, a Shield protector receiving alerts), or when the law requires.

6. Your rights and controls

Depending on where you live (for example, in California or the European Union), you may have additional rights — such as to access, correct, or restrict the use of your data. You can exercise all of them, or ask us any question about your data, at support@claimiq.me, and we do not discriminate against you for doing so.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit; access is controlled with row-level security so one account cannot read another's data; secrets are kept out of the app entirely.

8. Children

ClaimIQ is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes and contact

Material changes will be announced in the app. Contact: support@claimiq.me.
